Jim Humphreys

Managing Director

A co-founder of Metlab in 1982, Jim is currently Managing Director of the Metlab Group. He holds a first class honours science degree in NDT from the University of Northampton UK. He is also a multi-skilled NDT practitioner. He has over 30 years’ experience in the field of NDT, welding inspection, corrosion protection & investigation, and quality assurance. Working as an inspection and NDT professional on major projects onshore and offshore in the oil & gas, power-gen and pharmaceutical sectors. Jim also held a senior post in the QA department of Irish Glass Plc. (IGB) for a number of years.

CMT Manager

Dave joined Metlab over eight years ago; his role is Operations Engineer CMT division. He attended Cork Institute of Technology and Sligo IT and holds an honours degree in civil engineering. Dave has amassed a wealth of experience in construction quality assurance.

David joined Metlab in 2014 as Operations Manager Dublin. He attended Limerick Institute of Technology and has a background and qualifications in electro/mechanical systems along with almost ten years’ experience as a qualified senior NDT practitioner.

Simon joined Metlab over 15 years ago. He is Operations Supervisor in Cork and heads Metlab's ANS section. Simon is a mechanical engineering graduate of Cork Institute of Technology. He is a multi-disciplined NDT practitioner.

Eddie co-founded Metlab in 1982, he is Director of Operations based in our Cork facility. He is a mechanical engineering graduate of Waterford IT. Eddie has more than 35 years’ experience in NDT & welding inspection.
